Eyecatcher Signs & Graphics - Case Study – CTC Aviation

In spring 2017 Eyecatcher were approached by an existing client CTC Aviation for assistance with their complete re-brand.
CTC Aviation are situated within three UK sites as well as New Zealand and the USA, training commercial airline pilots/crew from all over the world. Through their wings programme year on year they train and produce pilots for the worlds top airlines such as British Airways, Qatar Airways, Thomas Cook and Easy Jet, to name a few.

Liaising with contacts in the US and NZ to ensure brand conformity and consistency, with the UK as the HQ, Eyecatcher managed the UK based rebrand as well as suggesting the preferred way to manufacture certain aspects of the signage in the other countries.

The first step was to decide on specification, colour/systems to use and set up the artworks with many meetings with directors confirming which signs would go where!

With 8 DA-42 Diamond training aircraft, over 650 door signs and slatz directory systems, 5 branded vehicles, 7 high level unit signs along with reception displays, 3 huge simulators and frosted window graphics to rebrand. Oh and of course an ever narrowing deadline before an open day we had to get to work!

First off was to produce all the signage and cut all of the graphics required… a monster job. Next to strip and remove any trace of the old existing logo at all three sights, order access platforms where required ready for the refit. With the simulators in 24 hour use 7 days a week apart from maintenance downtime (early hours of the morning) there were to be some very long days and nights ahead.

Did we manage to complete it in time……. you bet we did!
